Logotypes of political parties in Spain are pretty bland. They are not memorable, unique or particularly well crafted. That's why I took the corporate identity of the Popular Party (in government at the time) and decided to completely renew it.
But, not being precisely a fan of their politics, and considering that what they are known for is mostly corruption scandals, I wanted to see if I could find a visual element that was memorable, appealing... and completely negative.
Launched just a few days ahead of a general election, the project was quite successful, reaching over 60,000 visits on the first day and landing an interview about it on El Español, one of the country's leading newspapers. United Left, a leftwing coalition competing in the election, tweeted it to the Popular Party. I still haven't heard from them, though.
